Rack rates live on each room, but real-world pricing goes through rate plans — named discounts and packages you can apply at booking time.
The three plan types
- Percent off — e.g. ARP at 10% off the rack rate.
- Amount off — e.g. ₱100 off per night for long stays.
- Fixed — a set nightly price per room type (corporate contracts).
Where plans apply
- On the reservation form — pick a plan and watch the nightly rate preview update. If the plan's window doesn't cover the arrival date, or the stay is shorter than its minimum, the form says so and the booking won't save until you pick another.
- On the public booking site — a plan's code doubles as a promo code guests can type at /book.
- Via the Channel Manager — record which plan each booking source (Agoda, Booking.com, walk-in…) is contracted at, and compare source performance (bookings, revenue, average stay) on the same page. The mapping is a reference for your own staff: it doesn't price a booking on its own, so whoever keys the reservation in still chooses the plan.
Plans have validity dates, minimum-night rules, and an active switch, and all three are enforced
wherever a price is set — so an expired plan stops applying everywhere at once, and there's one
switch to flip when a promo ends.
Editing a booking made on an old plan
You can always correct a guest's details on a booking whose plan has since expired — the plan is left
alone as long as you don't touch it or the dates. Change the plan or move the dates and the rate is
recalculated, so the plan has to be valid for the new stay. That's deliberate: it's what stops a
seven-night discount from surviving after the stay is shortened to one night.
